Tonight it’s time for a very special edition of Het Schimmengebied, for this edition I have invited non other than Guy Tavares.

Guy Tavares is mostly known as head of the famous labels Bunker Records and Motorwolf from The Hague, and as drummer and singer of several bands, including Santa Cruz and Orange Sunshine. For intimates and initiates of the mysterious clandestine cult he as since initiated, he is also known as an infinite source of universal wisdom and knowledge, of which he will hopefully share some tonight with an in depth culture-historical treatment of great philosophers and other scumbags of the history of the West.

I started this blog because I was spamming my mailing list with endless mindless rattling almost every announcement for my fabulous radio show. I thought this was a good reason to start this blog, so I could fill it with endless rattling, in which my radio show announcements would make up only a tiny percentage of blog posts. But of course my infinitely inspired mind doesn’t work that way, and it starts to look like my blog is being filled with nothing but announcements for my radio show, becoming dreadfully repetitious.

Which reminds me, tonight, this fifth Thursday of the month, there will be a bonus edition of Het Schimmengebied from 23.00 till 0.00 on Radio Tonka. As usual I am not really sure what I will play, but currently I am sifting through industrial tunes of the more American kind, such as Nine Inch Nails, and, dare I say it? Marilyn Manson… but also from the Germans, such as Das Ich, and songs in other styles, such as from A Perfect Circle. I guess I might go on the nostalgic tour tonight…

Today I made stir-fried pumpkin for dinner, together with courgette, mushrooms and union. And a bit of salad with tomato and lettuce as a side dish. I think it is the first time I ever made dinner with vegetables without a traditional staple like potatoes or rice or pasta. At least stir-fried. Because I did make pumpkin before in the oven. Without potatoes or anything like that. Several times. Which was really nice. And I’ve made broccoli soup before, with cauliflower.
